Are you showing signs of insanity?
Anyone that puts in the time on the range deserves their success come the weekend. However, it's not just hard work that gets that handicap down or grooves that soft draw you've been working on. To help explain, have you heard the saying,
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?"
How true this can be.
Next time you head to the range ask yourself whether what you're doing in practice is actually helping; maybe you're exacerbating a problem, grooving a swing path that's working against you? We commend those of you who put the hours in away from the course, but for the best results you want that time to really count.
A quick refresher or game assessment with the team could really help, after which you'll get more from your practice sessions - which you can then take to the course.

Tenby Golf Club Ladies' Outing 2015
The forecast looked worrying after the lovely sunshine of the last two weeks, but the ladies who went on the outing this year were thrilled to find that although the winter woollies were back on in the early mornings, the sun came out and the rain stayed away while we were playing. We must thank Linda Evans who planned an exciting 3 days of golf. We even had quizzes between courses at dinner. We stayed at the Village near Whitchurch Cardiff and those that were not working played the Whitchurch course on the Friday. Julie Lovett had a superb 37 points, followed by Rita Collins with 35 and a delighted Pat Fox on 34. Heather Morgan birdied the opening par 3 to scoop the twos pot.
On the second day we were joined by the working girls and played Cottrell Park. Bacon rolls were part of the deal here but having breakfasted so well at the hotel we had them wrapped and took them out for lunch. Trevayne Keohane had a glory day coming in with 40 points. Heather, Fair Ball and Jo Walsh Morgan all had 31 points but on countback Fair had second prize and Jo had third. Heather managed the only two again so took the pot once more.
Finally, day 3, and those that could play again after two tough days in the wind, went out to battle again this time on the beautiful Radyr course. Again the sun was shining though the wind was chilly. Linda Evans came third with 33 points. In second place (with no twos today even though she hit the flag on one par 3) was Heather with 35 points. However, this time the only two was by Trevayne, who also won with a fantastic 43 points. We all enjoyed our lunch out on the patio in the sunshine, then went our separate ways dreaming of scores we might have had …..if only! HKM
